  • Is budget travel better than spending a fortune?

When booking your holiday you have a very important choice to make. How much am I going to spend on accommodation? Are we going to keep things simple and travel on a budget or indulge a little? I have had this discussion many times on very opposite ends of the spectrum. My boyfriend likes to indulge in travel and be very organised. My friends love to find ways to save money and tend to just wing it. This had lead to some very interesting and very different adventures…

  • Road trip to Tawharanui

Road trip to Tawharanui Regional Park, New Zealand

Tahwaranui Regional Park is the perfect road trip destination! It’s so easy to access at just over an hour’s drive north of Auckland so you can drive back the same day or if you are feeling a bit tired there’s camp ground you can stay at. The beach itself is stunning and well worth a visit. Tawharanui is more of a surf beach so make sure you take your boogie board! With the gorgeous white sand and warm water this a road trip I highly recommend.

  • Mount Maunganui

My top 5 things to do in the NZ summer

    1. Spend the weekend on Waiheke It isn’t summer in NZ if you haven’t spent at least one weekend in Waiheke. The picturesque vineyards serve top quality wine and a $2 tasting of Rosé definitely hits the spot. My favourite vineyard is the one in this picture, Cable Bay. The view is stunning and they do the best sliders ever!

  • Cloud 9 Fiji

Is Cloud 9 in Fiji worth the hype?

When I was thinking about travelling to Fiji the first thing I said to my boyfriend was we have to visit Cloud 9. I did a lot of googling, I don’t think there was another piece of information out there that I didn’t read. I couldn’t wait to see the turquoise waters for myself! The day begins departing from Port Denarau on a high speed catamaran. If speed boats aren’t your thing there are other options but I was in my element.

  • Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast

My journey to the Gold Coast

For me the Gold Coast is like my second home. I have lost count of how many times I have travelled to the Gold Coast but I never get sick of it. It’s beautiful. The white sandy beaches and the warm water are incredibly welcoming and Surfers Paradise is always buzzing with activity. We usually stay at Surfers Century with my extended family, about 20 of us, and we always have so much fun. On our most recent trip we decided to stay a little further up the coast in Broadbeach. Personally I preferred Surfers Paradise. You’re closer to the action and it’s easy to walk pretty much anywhere from the…

  • To Sua Trench Samoa

Visiting the To Sua Trench, Samoa

Samoa is a beautiful island with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. But what really made me want to travel there is the amazing natural attractions. The island of Upolu holds the To Sua Trench and was one of the main reasons I wanted to visit Samoa. Of course I stumbled across a photo of this on Instagram one day, did some more research and then decided I had to go see it for myself.
