Le Meridien Bangkok is a 5-star hotel situated in the bustling city of Bangkok. The hotel has all of the amenities one might expect from such a high-end accommodation, including an excellent selection of fine dining restaurants, spa facilities, and even its own nightclub. A 5 star hotel situated in the heart of Bangkok, steps away from major subway stations making it easy to get to from the airport. Having been to Bangkok before I didn’t have plans to see a whole lot during my two nights here.
I was lucky enough to spend two nights here when I first arrived in Thailand. Here is my review.
Le Meridien Bangkok Review
The hotel itself is renowned for its contemporary art-inspired interior and design. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you know you’ve arrived somewhere spectacular.
The service at Le Meridien Bangkok is impeccable; you’re greeted by friendly staff every time you enter or leave the hotel.
Le Meridien Bangkok Room

I mainly just wanted to relax and recover from the long-haul flight from Greece so that I had enough energy to hit the ground running when I arrived in Chiang Mai and what a perfect place Le Meridien was to relax!
The rooms are spacious, luxurious and comfortable with Le Meridien’s signature amenities.
I stayed in one of the Executive round bed rooms, also known as a circular room and I’m not even exaggerating, I literally had the best sleep ever. The bed, pillows and duvet were pure heaven! There’s even a pillow menu so if you’re fussy with your pillows then they’ve got you sorted.
The view of Bangkok from the 22nd floor was breathtaking. Full floor-to-ceiling window walls helped make the most of these amazing views and there was a couch pushed up against them to relax on. I can confirm that the couch is also incredibly comfy and a great place for a nap haha.
These rooms have exclusive access to Le Meridien Bangkok Club Lounge. You can also enjoy complimentary afternoon refreshments served from 2 pm to 4 pm.
The beautiful marble bathroom had double vanities and a separate bathtub and shower. Of course the room came with luxurious robes and other common amenities such as a hairdryer, slippers, USB outlets, a lighted makeup mirror and a safe.
Once 5 pm rolled around it was time for me to start work so it was a quiet evening. The desk in the room provided a comfortable working space with well-placed power outlets.
Le Meridien Bangkok Food

The next morning I woke up to the most incredible Le Medirien Bangkok breakfast spread. There was SO much food. Did I eat it all? Well not all in one go, but yes, yes I did. Then I had a nap. It was fab.
I really wasn’t lying when I said I didn’t do much here in Bangkok…
On my second morning here I had another incredible breakfast but this time, instead of getting room service, I went down to the breakfast buffet at Latest Recipe.
The selection of food was amazing, they had everything from pancakes to granola, to fried rice and of course, my personal fave was the fresh ice-cold coconuts!!
Later that day I ventured out to find some food, I ate at a restaurant one of the staff members recommended that was located just behind the hotel. It was called Ruen Urai. I ordered a green curry and it was DELICIOUS. One of my fave Thai dishes for sure.
In the afternoon you can relax with a refreshing drink at Tempo Bar, Latitude 13 or the brand-new Rolling Ribs Brew Bar & BBQ, where savoury Memphis-style smoked BBQ awaits.
Le Meridien Bangkok Facilities
When I first arrived at the Le Meridien I was warmly welcomed by the team. I was shown to my room and got settled before heading down to the spa for a massage.
Drawing from the opulent customs of European spas, SPA breaks away with modern interpretations for today’s jet-setting travellers to enjoy. It’s located on the 6th floor, along with a 24-hour fitness centre.
I had the signature hot lava touch 90-minute treatment and it was pure heaven. If you have never had a hot stone massage before I would highly recommend it!!
I was so relaxed afterwards, I went back to my room, ran myself a nice warm bath and binged watched Grey’s Anatomy. It was the perfect way to spend my first evening in Bangkok and honestly, I was so tired from the travelling I didn’t really feel like doing much else!
The next day I ventured to the pool for a quick swim. Le Meridien’s pool is also located on the 6th floor and it has a great view of the city. It’s a large lap-style pool and food or drink can be ordered poolside.
I laid out in the sun for a while, then decided to take a dip in the pool. It was nice and refreshing! A very relaxing spot indeed.
When it comes to parking, there is a complementary valet service and onsite parking with an electric car charging station.
Le Meridien Bangkok Location
The Le Meridien Bangkok is located in the heart of the city and it’s a great base if you are planning on exploring all that Bangkok has to offer. It’s also really easy to get around as they have their own complimentary shuttle bus service.
Le Meridien Bangkok stands 2.5 km away from Chinatown, a mere 5 minutes by train to the city centre’s shopping district and a 5.5km drive to The Grand Palace. What’s more? You’ll only need less than an hour of travel time from Suvarnabhumi International Airport with free parking provided.
It’s just a 5-minute walk to Bangkok’s Patpong market – a must-visit!
There are also some night markets just across from the hotel. I popped out to find myself something to eat for dinner. It was the classic market you can expect to find in Thailand with fantastic food as well.
