My boyfriend and I just spent two amazing nights here, tucked away on the shores of Cox Bay. Honestly, I was super excited about the trip because I’d heard all about how amazing the beaches are in Tofino, and let me tell you, they were everything I hoped for and more.

First Impressions
As soon as we arrived at Pacific Sands Beach Resort, everything felt easy and welcoming. Check-in was a breeze. It took just a few minutes and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Our room was easy to find thanks to the directions given to us by reception and the clear signage. There was plenty of parking close to our room too, which made unloading our luggage super convenient.
We stayed in a One-Bedroom Lighthouse Suite, and it was fantastic. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with big windows that kept it bright and airy, making it feel like we were part of the gorgeous landscape around us. The best part was that you had an incredible view of the beach and could hear the sound of the ocean from our balcony!

The suite was spacious and perfectly equipped for both relaxation and a bit of at-home dining, thanks to the full kitchen facilities. We enjoyed making a home-cooked meal and sipping wine by the gas fireplace, which was easy to use and heated the room wonderfully as the evening cooled.
The king-sized bed was super comfortable, and the soft, plush bathrobes provided added a touch of luxury. Even the bathroom was a treat with its high-quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash; the shower also doubled as a tub, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the beach, just a short walk away.
Speaking of views, the balcony was a dream spot. It caught plenty of sun and offered a stunning view of the ocean, making it a perfect place to relax and take in the sunrise or sunset. I enjoyed sitting out here in the sun with my book and relaxing on Sunday morning before we were due to checkout.
There were four raincoats provided for our room which was a nice touch, luckily we didn’t need to use them as we got super lucky with the weather and it was sunny all weekend!
Lastly, the suite featured a pullout sofa, which meant it could sleep up to four people, though it was just right for the two of us. This flexibility would make it a great option for small families or a group of friends. Everything was impeccably clean, and there wasn’t a single issue during our stay!

Pacific Sands Beach Resort offers a great mix of activities and comforts that really made our stay special. The resort has everything you could want, whether you’re looking to relax or have some fun.
One of our favourite experiences was using the outdoor firepits in the evening. We had a blast toasting marshmallows and making s’mores, which felt like a real camping adventure right by the ocean. There are also BBQs available, which are great for an outdoor meal. We decided to cook in our room but if we had spent another night here we probably would’ve taken advantage of the BBQs!
For those who enjoy getting active, the resort provides bike rentals and surf lessons at the Surf Shack. The wellness services at Pacific Sands are top-notch, too. They offer everything from massages to beachfront saunas and even free beach yoga in the summer.
We didn’t try the massages this time around, but just knowing we could was relaxing. And for those travelling with pets, the resort is very accommodating, which is a big plus for animal lovers.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon at the onsite Surfside Grill, which is perfect for anyone craving classic beach food with a fresh twist. Sitting out in the sun with a cool drink during their daily happy hour from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM was a great way to relax after a busy day of exploring. The fries were crispy and the atmosphere was just what you’d hope for at a beachside grill—laid-back and friendly.
For those mornings when you just need a good cup of coffee to start your day, The Beach Shack at the resort is a gem. They offer hot chocolates, coffees, smoothies, and a selection of delicious breakfast items. We had coffee there one morning along with some freshly baked banana bread and a blueberry muffin, which were absolutely delicious and provided the perfect start to our day!
In addition to these great options, reception also offers basic food items and essentials. We planned ahead and had everything we needed but this would be incredibly handy if there was something we had forgotten.
Overall, the dining experiences at Pacific Sands Beach Resort were both convenient and satisfying, perfectly complementing the relaxed, beachfront vibe of our weekend in Tofino.

We actually walked here for sunrise instead of sunset and it was so peaceful as there wasn’t anyone else around. The morning light was incredible and we had an amazing view of this hitting the ocean, would highly recommend you visit this spot during your stay!

Very close!! The resort has immediate beachfront access so you can walk right from your room to the beach in just a few minutes. Throughout our stay, we visited the beach multiple times throughout the day and it was definitely one of the things I loved most about Pacific Sands.
