How to get around Vancouver Island

A secluded road leads through a dense forest, with towering trees on either side. Sunlight filters through the foliage, creating a mystical and inviting atmosphere that beckons travelers forward into the tranquil embrace of nature.

When exploring Vancouver Island, one of the best ways to get around is by renting a car. Having your own vehicle provides you with so much more freedom to travel to more remote locations that may be inaccessible by public transport. Plus there’s nothing more fun than an island road trip!

While a car offers flexibility and convenience, depending on your itinerary and desired destinations, it’s possible to manage without one, especially if you plan to stay within urban areas or areas with good public transport links.

Ultimately, choosing whether or not to hire a car will depend on your specific travel preferences and itinerary but I would highly recommend getting a car in order to make the most of your time on the island.
